Capsule Geology

The Cliff area is underlain by marine sedimentary and volcanic rock of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group. The stratigraphy is intruded by Late Triassic granodiorite, Early Jurassic monzodiorite to gabbro (Texas Creek Plutonic Suite) and Triassic to Jurassic syenite to monzonite (Copper Mountain Plutonic Suite).

The Cliff vein is a 30 to 100 centimetre wide quartz-pyrite-chlorite-magnetite vein which strikes 105 degrees and dips 70 degrees south. A grab sample assayed 14.4 grams per tonne gold across 30 centimetres (Assessment Report 18166).
